Our route begins in Erfoud, "the gateway to the desert," where we'll venture into the desert in a 4x4 vehicle with a driver. The ancient traditions of its people, its markets, its vibrant colors, and a night under the stars will make our stay a unique experience. Later, we'll continue towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing valleys and gorges, to visit some Imazighen villages where time seems to have stood still. In a 4x4 vehicle with a driver, we'll explore some Amazigh villages where time seems to have stood still. We'll cross valleys and gorges, visit a nomadic family living in caves in the mountains… We'll continue further south to cross the Anti-Atlas and travel through the Draa Valley before returning to Ouarzazate. Fez is a city rich in history and culture. The Medina, or old city, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world. Founded in the 9th century by the Idrisid dynasty, Fez quickly became an important center of trade and learning. The city reached its golden age under the Marinids in the 13th century, when it became a major center of scholarship and architecture. Today, Fez is still known for its beautiful mosques, madrasas (Islamic schools), and its medina. It is also home to the world's largest tannery, where traditional methods are used to cure leather.
