Price
Day 1 of the itinerary
Departure from your home airport to Casablanca, keeping in mind that time zones may vary depending on the time of year. Connecting flight from Casablanca to Errachidia at 11:00 PM. Arrival in Errachidia at 11:59 PM. Passport formalities and baggage claim. Transfer to Erfoud, known as the "Gateway to the Desert," approximately 70 km (50-minute drive). Accommodation and dinner at the Kasbah Xaluca, considered unique in Morocco for its distinctive features.
Day 2 of the itinerary
Today will be a day immersed in the desert. We'll travel along one of the tracks used in the Dakar Rally, visiting villages and desert nomads. We'll stop at the Marine Fossil Quarries, dating back 360 million years, and enjoy a picnic in a true oasis.
We'll continue to the Erg Chebbi, a desert of incredibly fine sand dunes, where we'll switch from 4x4 vehicles to camels to venture into the heart of the dunes and witness an unforgettable sunset. We'll arrive by camel at the Bivouac de Luxe, where we'll stay in traditional Berber tents like those used by desert nomads. Accommodation and dinner are included. Sleeping under the stars is truly spectacular.
We'll continue to the Erg Chebbi, a desert of incredibly fine sand dunes, where we'll switch from 4x4 vehicles to camels to venture into the heart of the dunes and witness an unforgettable sunset. We'll arrive by camel at the Bivouac de Luxe, where we'll stay in traditional Berber tents like those used by desert nomads. Accommodation and dinner are included. Sleeping under the stars is truly spectacular.
Day 3 of the itinerary
"A Date with Sunrise." We recommend waking up early to hike to the top of the dunes and watch the sunrise. After a Bedouin breakfast, we'll depart by car, circling the Erg to the abandoned village of Merdani. We'll continue to the Sudanese village of Khamlia, where the locals will treat us to traditional dances and mint tea.
Later, we'll go to Rissani* to visit its market, unique in these latitudes, where the desert tribes and nomads stock up on supplies. It's interesting to see its donkey "parking lot." Finally, we'll climb to a natural viewpoint to bid farewell to the desert with a beautiful panoramic view. Lunch will be at Des Dunes, the most authentic Berber pizzeria in Erfoud.
We'll return to the Kasbah Xaluca to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. After the desert experience, a little relaxation is much appreciated. We can take a dip in the heated pool, enjoy a jacuzzi, play tennis, mini-golf… or optionally, have a hammam (Turkish bath) or a relaxing massage. For the more adventurous, there's the option of quad biking through the dunes surrounding the hotel (optional excursion). Accommodation and dinner at Kasbah Xaluca.
This afternoon, the car(s) and drivers will be at your disposal should you wish to continue exploring the area or visit Erfoud for a leisurely stroll.
*The Rissani market is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, so sometimes our schedule doesn't coincide with ours. In that case, we'll try to schedule another day, or sometimes there simply isn't enough time to visit.
Later, we'll go to Rissani* to visit its market, unique in these latitudes, where the desert tribes and nomads stock up on supplies. It's interesting to see its donkey "parking lot." Transfer to Errachidia Airport for your return flight. En route, we'll stop at the Ziz Valley viewpoint, home to over ten million palm trees.
Departure from Errachidia to Casablanca, where you'll connect with your flight back to your point of origin.
