Trip description
Do you want to disconnect for a few days and discover the Amazigh culture? We suggest a getaway to the High Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco. Our route begins in the town of Boumalne Dades, where we'll travel in a 4x4 vehicle with a driver to several Imazigh villages where time seems to stand still. We'll cross valleys and gorges, visit nomadic families living in mountain caves, and then continue further south to cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains and through the Draa Valley until we return to Ouarzazate. A getaway that won't leave us indifferent...

Day 1 of the itinerary
Departure from the airport of departure for Casablanca (where there may be a time difference depending on the season). Connecting flight to Casablanca-Ouarzazate. Arrival in Ouarzazate, passport processing and baggage claim. Transfer to Boumalne Dades (approximately 110 km), a town located at 1,612 m above sea level in the High Atlas Mountains. Accommodation at the 4* Hotel Xaluca Dades.
Day 2 of the itinerary
Today, in a chauffeur-driven 4x4 vehicle, we'll head deep into the Central High Atlas Mountains, discovering spectacular landscapes. We'll visit Berber villages like Boutaghrar and Amskar, where time seems to have stood still. We'll see mountains, canyons, and valleys, as well as the caves where mountain nomads still live. We'll explore the M'Goun Gorges for a unique hike. Lunch will be served en route in a Gite d'Etape. Overnight stay and dinner will be provided at the 4* Hotel Xaluca Dades.
Day 3 of the itinerary
This morning we'll head south to cross the Anti-Atlas, better known as the "Little Atlas." Along the way, we'll be able to see the whimsical shapes of the Djebel Saghro massif, a 2,712-meter-high mountain range at its highest peak. The arid, lunar-like landscape will take us to the village of N'Kob, birthplace of the "Ait Atta," one of the ancestral tribes of this region of North Africa. We'll enjoy the contrast between the ochre adobe of its kasbahs and the green of the palm groves, which give way to the Draa Valley, which we will travel toward Ouarzazate. Accommodation and dinner will be provided in a riad in the Medina or a 4-star hotel.
Day 4 of the itinerary
At the agreed time, transfer to Ouarzazate airport to catch your return flight to your point of origin.
