3 night and 4 day getaway to the city of Marrakech and the Agafay desert

We present a combined travel package to discover Marrakech and the nearby desert region of Agafay. On one hand, the world-famous Marrakech, with its incomparable Djemaa el Fna Square and its grand souk, where you can lose yourself in its bustling alleyways filled with palaces and gardens, artisan workshops, and trendy boutiques. On the other hand, Agafay, also known as the "Marrakchi Desert," is located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, across the Kik Plateau. This arid region, while lacking sand dunes, offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night under the stars and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Day 1 of the itinerary
Arrival in Marrakech depends on your chosen flight and schedule. Time zone differences may apply depending on the time of year. Passport formalities and baggage claim. Outside the airport, your transfer will be waiting to take you to your riad in the Medina or a 5-star hotel.

We recommend a first glimpse of the Medina, starting with a visit to Djemaa El-Fna Square. At sunset, it comes alive with storytellers, fortune tellers, jugglers, tooth pullers, dancers, snake charmers, and much more. Small, illuminated food stalls also begin to appear outdoors, where you can sample local dishes. Overnight stay in a riad in the Medina or a hotel.

Note: Depending on your flight's arrival time, the guided tour of Marrakech may take place on this day, leaving the following day free to explore at your leisure.
Day 2 of the itinerary
This morning at 9:30 am, we will take a walking tour of the Marrakech Medina with a local guide. We will begin by admiring the Koutoubia Minaret, the twin of Seville's Giralda, and continue with a visit to the Bahia Palace. We will then wander through the narrow streets of the souk, where we will have the opportunity to see various artisans at work, weaving carpets, making babouches (traditional slippers), and discovering an endless variety of high-quality handicrafts. We will visit a Berber pharmacy where they will share their "secrets."

We will then return to Djemaa el-Fna Square, where the atmosphere is completely different by day than by night. The afternoon is free. Overnight stay in a riad in the Medina or a hotel.

*Please inquire about the option to extend the tour.
Day 3 of the itinerary
Today, at the agreed time*, we will be picked up in a 4x4 vehicle with a driver and depart southwest, crossing the Kik Plateau until we reach Lake Lalla Takerkoust. We will take a drive around the area to enjoy the scenery. A 40 km journey awaits us, allowing us to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the "Red City" and venture into arid lands with sparse vegetation, passing through Berber villages. If we are lucky, we may see one of the markets where they stock up on supplies. We will then arrive at the Agafay desert region. Arrival at the camp and free time. Optionally, we can take a quad bike or buggy** excursion in the surrounding area. This afternoon, we will witness an unforgettable sunset from the back of a dromedary. Accommodation and dinner at a Deluxe Camp, in tents. Sleeping "under the stars" is spectacular.

*Services upon request. Please inquire about activities.
Day 4 of the itinerary
After a good breakfast, you will be picked up at the camp and transferred to Marrakech airport to catch your return flight.
